How to Apply

Application Deadline: February 7, 2025

To be eligible for a Summer 2025 Bekenstein Climate Leaders Program Summer Internship, you must be a currently enrolled graduate student in one of Yale’s professional graduate schools, and you must be returning to graduate school for the 2025 fall semester. May 2025 graduates are not eligible. Undergraduate students are not eligible.

Yale’s professional graduate schools include:

  • School of the Environment
  • School of Management
  • School of Law
  • Jackson School of Global Affairs
  • School of Public Health
  • School of Architecture
  • School of Engineering and Applied Science

Application Process

Eligible Yale graduate students are invited to apply to as many of the individual 25 project offerings as they are interested in, and appear qualified for.  

  • There is no single way to apply to the program as a whole.
  • Each of the 25 projects requests a one-page cover letter of interest and a copy of your resume.  
  • There is no formal application form.  

Your resume and cover letter will be reviewed by a designated contact person at each employer host organization you applied to. They will contact you if they are interested in interviewing you

Please don’t contact the employer host designee by email, text, phone or LinkedIn to discuss the status of your application, ask questions about the project, or promote your candidacy. Employer hosts have been specifically asked not to respond to student queries in an effort to assure fair and equal consideration for all candidates.
